This opportunity is to develop players positively and become a mentor and leader for your team. Join us and make a difference in your community. Volunteer Coach Registration:

Our sports programs work with the dedication of volunteers. Every season, every sport a volunteer must register and complete these four requirements:

  1. Criminal Background Check (ss# submitted and/or not expired)
  2. Praesidium Trainings (Athlete Protection 1 & 2 online trainings) BEFORE contact with players.
  3. Model the Y’s Core Values On and Off the Field
  4. Monitor Email and Player Space for ALL Updates

All YMCA coaches are expected to lead by example in everything they do. That means demonstrating caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility at practices, games, and in all communications. Coaches should foster a positive environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged—regardless of skill level or experience. Your words, actions, and attitude set the tone for the entire team, and we rely on you to uphold the standards that make the Y a safe, inclusive, and uplifting place for all.

As a YMCA coach, you play a meaningful role in shaping the future of the young people we serve. Your leadership, patience, and passion create experiences that kids will remember for years to come. Thank you for stepping up, giving your time, and choosing to make a difference in our community. Together, we’re building strong athletes—but more importantly, strong character. We appreciate you, and we’re excited for an amazing season ahead. Let’s make it great!

What is Playerspace?

Playerspace is a sports communication portal that the YMCA of Greater Wichita Falls Sports program has partnered with to enhance and improve the overall communication for our sports leagues.

What information will be on Playerspace for parents?

Parents will find all the essential information for the league. You can find game schedules, snack lists, coach contact information, end of season party information, action shots of the team and weather status updates and cancellations for games and practices.

What information will I be responsible for posting on Playerspace?

As a coach, you will be responsible for posting snack lists, your contact information, end of season party information and practice cancellations. You will also be responsible for communicating with your team via the message center. Game schedules will be posted by your Sports Director. Weekly automated messages are sent out via Playerspace each Monday and Friday to you and your parents informing them of their schedule for the week.

How do I get on to Playerspace?

When you sign-up to coach a team, you automatically are registered with an account on Playerspace. There is no need to create a new account! You will receive an e-mail with your username and password the first week of practice. From there you can visit playerspace.com and click “sign-in” at the top right corner. There is also a mobile app in the Google Play Store and the App Store for iPhone – the app is “Playerspace”.

Where will I go to use Playerspace as a coach?

Just visit your team’s site and your “Coaches Corner” will be on the upper right-hand corner. There are four essential tools that you can click on to utilize Playerspace.

What if I am not receiving e-mails from Playerspace?

Be sure to check your junk, trash and spam folders for Playerspace. You will need to add notifications@playerspace.com and info@playerspace.com to your safe sender list. If you still are not receiving e-mails contact your Sports Director at your local YMCA.

What if my team roster or game schedule is not present on Playerspace?

If you are missing any essential team information such as game schedule or roster, contact your Sports Director at the branch you are coaching for. Helpful video links can be found on the coach help site at http://coaches.playerspace.com.

How do I invite a parent to be a fan of the league?

You can add a fan to your team (mom, dad, grandma, grandpa or just a friend) by clicking on the roster tab at the top, clicking on the “Add to Roster” tab on the left and entering that person’s first and last name and e-mail address and inviting them to the team. This will give them the ability to receive all team updates, view the schedule and follow the team for the season.

Is there an app for Playerspace?

Yes, there is app in both iTunes App Store for Apple and in the Google Play Store for Android. The download is free and you can do everything from your phone that you would do on your desktop as a coach. You can even track attendance for every player.
