Youth Sports

The Y is the starting point for many youth to learn about becoming and staying active, and developing healthy habits they’ll carry with them throughout their lives. And the benefits are far greater than just physical health. Whether it’s gaining the confidence that comes from learning to swim or building the positive relationships that lead to good sportsmanship and teamwork, participating in sports at the Y is about building the whole child, from the inside out.

 


Baseball

Youth baseball is an exciting sport combining team play and individual skills. YMCA youth baseball promises no try outs, no getting cut and no bench warmers! Every child plays at least half of every game while making friends and learning new techniques.

Basketball

YMCA utilizes volunteer coaches to focus on participation and fun! While basic skills of the game are developed through practices and games, every child learns sportsmanship and values necessary to be successful in life. Every game begins with a Youth Sports Pledge and ends with a handshake.

Gymnastics

We provide quality instruction, fun first, and safety always. All athletes are encouraged to develop their skills in balance, coordination, flexibility, and strength of body and mind in a safe and nurturing environment that encourages the enjoyment of physical activity, self-confidence, and excellence in the sport of gymnastics.
