Hotter ‘n Hell Indoor Camping

HOTTER ‘N HELL INDOOR CAMPING

The Downtown YMCA at 1010 9th street, 76301, is only 3 blocks away from the starting line!  This facility includes multiple areas to “camp” along with indoor bike storage, restrooms, showers, hot tubs, steam rooms, swimming pool, work out rooms, air conditioning, and a light breakfast the morning of race day!  We also offer options for meals on Friday and Saturday nights for an additional fee.  At the Y you are very close to the Multi-Purpose Event Center (MPEC), home of the consumer show, ride start, and festivities at the finish line village. Bring your own sleeping bag, air mattress and towels.
Call 940 322 7816 from 6am to 9pm Monday through Friday or 8am to 5pm on Saturday.  You can also register online (see below). Please include names of each person staying, along with a phone number and email address.  Remember to print legibly.

All of us at the YMCA cannot wait to welcome you to the best ride in the country.

If you take place in the Hotter ‘n Hell 100 this year think no further than the YMCA of Wichita Falls to facilitate your stay.  Bikes are tagged and are stored safely indoors on our full sized basketball court with YMCA staff and volunteers watching over them. Your bike and belongings are protected, breakfast included before the race, and you avoid the escalated prices of local hotels that raise their prices for the event.

We offer indoor camping for Friday night before the race, or even Friday and Saturday night, so that you can relax after a long and exciting ride.

CHECK-IN STARTS AT NOON ON FRIDAY

THINGS TO KNOW!

Spots at the YMCA are on a “First Come, First Serve” basis.  There is no guarantee of a certain spot within the facility.  If you reserve your stay ahead of time and do not show up, we do not offer refunds.  Your spot will be on the floor, no cots provided.  You can bring a cot, air mattress (twin or smaller), or bed roll.  If you are attending as a couple or parent child we will allow a queen sized mattress so long as two people are sharing it.  NO TENTS.

The YMCA building was built and opened in 1948, so there are limited plugs, bring power strips and extension cords if you are needing to charge multiple devices.  Towels are NOT provided.
