Our Y Adult Racquetball program includes both leagues and open court opportunities to play with friends. If you’re looking for a great way to build endurance and rally some friendly one-on-one competition, racquetball is for you.
Did you know the YMCA is actually credited with the invention of the modern game of racquetball? In 1950, Joe Sobeck, a professional tennis and handball player, sought to create a fast-paced sport that was easy to learn and easy to play. Over 60 years later, racquetball is more popular than ever.
Youth baseball is an exciting sport combining team play and individual skills. YMCA youth baseball promises no try outs, no getting cut and no bench warmers! Every child plays at least half of every game while making friends and learning new techniques.
YMCA utilizes volunteer coaches to focus on participation and fun! While basic skills of the game are developed through practices and games, every child learns sportsmanship and values necessary to be successful in life. Every game begins with a Youth Sports Pledge and ends with a handshake.
We provide quality instruction, fun first, and safety always. All athletes are encouraged to develop their skills in balance, coordination, flexibility, and strength of body and mind in a safe and nurturing environment that encourages the enjoyment of physical activity, self-confidence, and excellence in the sport of gymnastics.
Miracle League is a baseball program for special needs kids. It runs in the spring for 6 Saturdays. It is a completely FREE program for any special needs kid with any diagnosis. The field is specially designed for any kid, it's rubber so it can be used by kids with walkers or in wheelchairs.
During each game, every kid is assigned a "buddy". Buddies help with protecting the kids while on the field and also with assistance while hitting, running, or fielding! During the game, every kid hits, every kid scores, and the last batter of each inning hits a HOMERUN!
When each game is over, kids and parents can enjoy hotdogs provided by different volunteers each week.
Parents Night Out is an opportunity for parents to have 3 hours of worry free, stress free time away from the kids. Drop them off and they will have a blast in our new gymnastics facility under the supervision of Mr. Cronin and his staff. You get the 3 hours to have a date night, relax, or anything else you choose to do without interruption. You don’t have to be a member to attend.
